People in Portsmouth and local families should be able to just enjoy our city’s superb seaside and areas of natural beauty, without having to worry about encountering filthy sewage.
Yet over the last six years, there have been over one million sewage spill events across the country, including here in Portsmouth.
This means that on average, the Tories have allowed water companies to spill sewage onto our beaches and into our waters every two-and-a-half minutes.
Labour will end this disgraceful practice so that we finally see an end to sewage pollution on our shores. Find out more about our plan here.
