Following the recently announced news that QA hospital has been selected to be a part of the government’s Covid-19 vaccine rollout programme, Stephen Morgan MP issued a statement on the matter.
The Member of Parliament for Portsmouth South, said,
“It’s excellent to hear that QA hospital has been selected to play a role in the Covid-19 vaccine rollout and is a testament to the work of our fantastic local health workers.
“But it is now critically important we hear from government on exactly what their local strategy is on this, with a practical step-by-step strategy of how this will be implemented, including: how the vaccine will be transported to Portsmouth securely, to whom it will be administered and how it will be done safely.
“This is vital for ensuring strong public confidence in the government’s plans on this unprecedented logistical challenge, so that our city’s residents feel safe to enrol in the vaccine programme.”
