City MP Stephen Morgan has today launched a listening campaign to hear constituents’ ideas, views and concerns on key local and national issues, aiming to inform his priorities for the next year in Parliament.

Portsmouth people are invited to have their say via an online survey or by attending pop-up events across the local area hosted by Mr Morgan, focusing on the protecting our precious environment, making our city’s streets safer, caring for our local NHS and securing the investment our community deserves.

The online survey is available for completion here.

The first pop-up event will take place on ‘Protecting our precious environment’ at Southsea’s Canoe Lake on Monday 21 August 1pm-4pm.

This event will specifically focus on tackling dirty air, accessible and affordable public transport, better recycling and waste services, stopping sewage, reducing plastic pollution and protecting diversity.

A gazebo will be staffed by the team and volunteers and allow constituents to complete the online survey, find out more information about local issues and participate in activities about making Portsmouth a better place for everyone.

As an active local campaigner and a strong national voice, the listening campaign reinforces Stephen Morgan MP’s enthusiasm to hold in-person discussions with constituents and raise issues in Parliament that matter to them.

Launching the Big Conversation, the city MP Stephen Morgan, said:

“As Portsmouth’s voice in Parliament, it is important for me hear directly from constituents on the issues that matter to them to take back to Westminster.

“That’s why I am launching my Big Conversation – a chance for Portsmouth people to share their views with me so I can continue taking action to make Portsmouth a better place for everyone.

If you live in the constituency, I want to hear your ideas, views and concerns on local and national issues, to shape priorities for you, your family and our city for the next year in Parliament.”

Constituents who are interested in attending one or more of the events can find more information on Stephen’s website. No booking is required.
