Syd Rapson supporting Stephen

Syd Rapson, Portsmouth North’s former Member of Parliament and ex-Lord Mayor of Portsmouth has endorsed Stephen Morgan’s candidacy for the council elections this May.
Speaking today Mr Rapson said:
“Stephen is the future of the Labour Party. He has the leadership skills, local knowledge and most importantly of all, passion and care for the people of Portsmouth. He’ll build on the city’s successes and is making a difference in Charles Dickens ward”
In response Stephen added:
“I’m delighted to receive Syd’s support today. Syd achieved so much for Portsmouth when on the council and as an MP for Portsmouth. This includes the regeneration across our communities, Gunwharf Quays, and bringing Le Tour to the city. There’s a huge legacy from his hard work in Portsmouth that Labour locally must build on”.
Mr Rapson’s support for Stephen’s campaign in Charles Dickens ward follows an endorsement from former Secretary of State, Lord Peter Hain last month.
