Stephen Morgan MP has launched an online survey asking for views on the climate crisis and next steps.
Results collected by the survey will shape the city MP’s priority in Parliament to protect the city’s precious environment and his local campaigning.
Mr Morgan has launched this survey following recent reporting that Portsmouth is the UK’s most vulnerable city to extreme heat. This news can be read about in further detail here.

Commenting, Stephen Morgan, MP for Portsmouth South, said:
“Not only is the climate and nature crisis one of the most serious and urgent within our time, as a coastal city Portsmouth is especially susceptible to potential consequences, such as flooding, if left unaddressed.
“As we have seen this summer, the UK’s climate is already getting hotter and wetter. Our city has been one of the many communities to have experienced this increase in extreme weather.
“The question is now not whether we act, but how fast we act.
“That is why, as your MP, tackling the climate crisis is a top priority of mine in both Westminster and here in Portsmouth.
” I am encouraging constituents to share their experiences and perspectives on the climate crisis to inform further action taken by myself and by the Government”.
