Stephen’s Climate Survey

By 18 September 2026No Comments

Not only is the climate and nature crisis one of the most serious and urgent within our time, as a coastal city Portsmouth is especially susceptible to potential consequences, such as flooding, if left unaddressed.

As we have seen this summer, the UK’s climate is already getting hotter and wetter. Our city has been one of the many communities to have experienced this increase in extreme weather.

The question is now not whether we act, but how fast we act.

That is why, as your MP, taking measures to address the climate crisis has been a top priority of mine in both Westminster and here in Portsmouth.

As part of my commitment to tackling this issue, I am encouraging constituents to share their experiences and perspectives on the climate crisis to inform further action taken by myself and by the Government.
