Stephen Morgan MP is inviting constituents to his next ‘Cuppa and Chat’ event on Saturday (4 November from 10.30am-12pm) to provide a safe space to discuss loneliness and mental health issues.
The coffee morning, which will take place at the SPARK Community Space at the Pompey Centre, will have experts on hand to provide information and advice in an informal setting.
Attendees will find out about the support that is available both nationally and locally for those struggling with their mental health or loneliness.
The panel of representatives from Solent Mind and SPARK Community Space will answer questions you may have over light refreshments.
Attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and concerns, and share views for the city MP to take back to Westminster.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan said:
“Over the last decade, the demand for mental health services has far outpaced the resources afforded to them.
“With 1 in 4 people across the UK experiencing a mental health problem each year, I want to make sure I am doing all I can to ensure Portsmouth people have the support when they need it.
“I hope this latest coffee morning will provide an opportunity for constituents to have their views heard and receive helpful advice if they are struggling with their mental health or loneliness.”
Mr Morgan has vowed to take the concerns raised at the event to Westminster while continuing to support local initiatives that address mental health concerns in Portsmouth.
A Labour Government has committed to guaranteeing access to mental health treatment in less than a month for all who need it, with a radical expansion of the mental health workforce, resulting in over a million more people receiving support each year.
