Stephen Morgan MP is inviting constituents to his next Cuppa and Chat event on Saturday 25 January to provide a space for constituents to share their views on Buses and Public Transport in Portsmouth.
The coffee morning, taking place from 10:30am-12 noon will have experts on hand to provide information and advice in an informal setting.
Over light refreshments, attendees will have the opportunity to ask experts questions on buses, trains and any other public transport in the city.
Attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and concerns for Mr Morgan to take back to Westminster.
The event will take place at a venue in Southsea. Attendees will be notified of the venue ahead of the event.
Constituents can sign up to attend the coffee morning here.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan said:
“Upgrading bus services and local transport in our city is so important in improving local people’s everyday lives of so many people in Portsmouth, while also helping it become greener.
“I’m really pleased with the action the new government has already taken to bring our railways into public ownership and allow local communities to take control of our buses, but I’m keen to hear thoughts and ideas from Portsmouth people on what more can be done.
“I look forward to speaking with constituents in January to discuss this issue and hear their ideas for how we can improve our city’s Portsmouth transport networks.”
Mr Morgan has vowed to take the concerns raised at the event to Westminster while continuing to support local initiatives that address transport issues in Portsmouth.
The city MP recently went on an accessibility audit with Portsmouth Disability Action Group where he saw the everyday barriers those with disabilities face when travelling.
