Stephen Morgan MP is inviting constituents to his next Cuppa and Chat event on Saturday 14 March to provide a space to discuss Portsmouth’s water quality.

The coffee morning, taking place from 10:30am to 12 noon, will also be attended by a panel of representatives that will be sharing information and answering questions on this topic in an informal setting over light refreshments.

Attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and concerns for Mr Morgan to take back to Westminster.

The event, taking place following the launch of the Government’s “A New Vision for Water” White Paper, will be in Somerstown.

Attendees will be notified of the venue ahead of the event.

Constituents can sign up to attend the coffee morning here

Commenting on the upcoming event, Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan said:

“I strongly welcome sweeping reforms to existing water industry regulations recently announced by this Government. The White Paper will deliver a once-in-a-generation overhaul of the water system that protects Portsmouth’s waters.

“Portsmouth’s natural beauty is something cherished by many and makes our city somewhere we can be proud to live.

“I am looking forward to this opportunity to hear directly from constituents on their experiences and how we can work together to protect Portsmouth’s waters for many generations to come.”

Since coming into office, the Labour Government has remained committed to updating Britain’s water sector to protect consumers and the nation’s water.

The recently published “A New Vision for Water” White Paper sets out sweeping reforms to clean up the water industry, strengthen regulation and put an end to failing water companies marking their own homework.
