IMG_0129Cllr Stephen Morgan, Portsmouth’s Labour Leader, said:
“The Hard Interchange project is exactly what this city needs much more of. Investment in our great city to create new jobs, attract new businesses and strengthen the local economy.
Creating the new transport interchange is a step in the right direction but we must see more effort made in regenerating our city so that every part of Portsmouth reaches its full potential”.
Cllr Morgan has shown a keen interest in the development at The Hard making a number of visits to the site to ensure the impact of the works on the local community and businesses were well-managed.
The new interchange will better link buses, trains and ferries; make the site easier to navigate; enable pedestrians and cyclists to share the space more safely and make the area more welcoming.
