Mr Morgan has congratulated students across Portsmouth receiving their A-Level, T-Level and BTec results today, praising their hard work, determination and commitment throughout their studies.
Marking Results Day, the city MP also thanked teachers, lecturers, school and college staff across the city for their professionalism, dedication and encouragement in supporting young people to achieve their ambitions.
This morning on a visit to The City of Portsmouth College – the MP’s former college – Mr Morgan met with students and staff to hear about their experiences and to celebrate the achievements of young people across the city.
Ensuring every young person can get the best start in life is a priority for the Labour Government, and education plays a vital role in helping young people develop their skills, pursue further study or training, and take the next step towards their chosen career.
Commenting, Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan, said:
“I want to congratulate all young people in Portsmouth receiving their results today. You should be incredibly proud of the effort, determination and commitment you have shown throughout your studies.
“Results Day is the culmination of years of hard work, and I hope students, their families and the staff who have supported them take a moment to celebrate their achievements.
“I also want to thank the dedicated teachers, lecturers and support staff across Portsmouth who work tirelessly to give our young people the confidence and opportunities they need to succeed.
“If you haven’t achieved the grades you were hoping for, that’s also okay. There are always options and support available.”
