Alongside the survey, to gather local perspectives and ensure every voice is heard, Mr Morgan has provided young people with an opportunity to share views on social media with him directly and hosted an engagement event where he heard from local parents on this issue.

Commenting, Stephen Morgan, MP for Portsmouth South, said:

“Protecting children from harm online is a top priority of this Government. This is why work is already underway to create a safer digital environment for young people.

“Following a successful engagement event, where I was able to hear the perspectives and experiences of Portsmouth parents, I am providing the opportunity for more local people to have their say.

“I am seeking the views of residents across Portsmouth on this important issue. Your feedback will help ensure local voices are heard”.
