The city council has invested in a website to help residents reduce the cost of their energy bills.
The service, which states that it could “save you hundreds” offers a range of support and guidance to make the switch including:
- a site search to find out the best deals available for you
- tariffs which are updated daily to get the best deal
- support to make the switch over to any new provider.
The average customer on the website has saved around £297 per year and the service is completely free.
Cllr Stephen Morgan, Labour’s housing spokesperson, said:
“I was at a residents’ meeting recently where this new service was promoted.
I was impressed by this innovation by the council and the opportunity it brings to help all Portsmouth people reduce their energy bills”.
