Hot topics on the doorstep in Charles Dickens ward

By 3 December 2015No Comments

The future of adult social care services, concerns over cuts at the council, and community safety are all issues which are being raised by local people in communities across Charles Dickens ward this week. Stephen Morgan, Labour’s candidate for the ward for the local council elections next May has been out and about this week talking to fellow residents.
Stephen said: “It has been great to talk to residents in Ian Gibson Court, sheltered accommodation for the elderly in the ward, and other residents in the blocks across north Somerstown this week. The future of important services such as adult social care and community safety concerns are all hot topics on the doorstep…
….The council is currently consulting on increasing council tax to help pay for adult social care demands in future. I urge everyone to have their say. During this time of change at the council and in public services, I want Labour to be on the side of residents who care, and need, these important services”.
