By 28 November 2024No Comments

Commenting ahead of last night’s Music for Youth Proms 2024 where Portsmouth’s Cross Keys Choir performed, Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan said:

“Congratulations to the Portsmouth Music Hub’s Cross Keys Choir who have been selected to perform at the Royal Albert Hall this evening at the Music for Youth Proms 2024.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to attend and lend my support to them.

“It will be a night each member of the choir will remember and I am sure they will do Portsmouth proud!

Portsmouth Music Hub’s Cross Keys Choir is a dynamic group of singers aged 7-16.

Led by conductor Emily Barden, the choir is known for impactful performances. Last night they performed two original compositions: One World by Catherine Brentnall, promoting environmental awareness, and “Change Maker* by Emily Barden, encouraging positive action.

The choir enhances accessibility by signing their songs, with Candice Azeta and Amarachi Emesowumare signing tonight’s performance.
