Commenting on the by-election results of Wakefield and Tiverton and Honiton, Portsmouth South MP, Stephen Morgan, said:
“The message the country heard from Wakefield is clear: Labour is winning the trust of the British people and firmly on the path to power.
“The Prime Minister cannot ignore last night’s results. The chair of his party has already resigned and now even more senior Tories are calling for him to go. His time is up.
“Labour is on its way back to 10 Downing Street and today’s result is the birthplace of the next Labour government.”
