Help Portsmouth Get More Bobbies On The Beat

Police cuts have Tory fingerprints all over them. Sign here to show your support for getting more police on our streets

Since 2010, when the Conservatives came to power, we have seen 1,050 fewer police officers on Hampshire streets and a staggering 21,339 fewer in England and Wales.

To rub salt into the wounds, the Government has announced that of the 156 new officers promised this year to the region, just 18 will be coming to Portsmouth.

With increasing issues with anti-social behaviour across Portsmouth and the additional pressures amid Covid-19, Stephen Morgan MP has been putting pressure on government and telling them this is simply not enough to keep our communities safe.

If you think that reducing our region’s police force by over 1,000 and giving our city back just 18 officers is not good enough, sign this pledge to help get more bobbies back on the beat here in Portsmouth.
